Creating a regularly updated and content-heavy site is an acquired skill, and here Chopping Block have excelled themselves bringing this television station's brand online faultlessly. Especially impressive is the Flash-enchanced programme guide which manages to be both useful and clever.

A refreshingly playful interface is the means for navigating the content of this agency's world. Fly your avatar through the landscape, rear plants, and relocate elephants to access the site's content - strange but true. An interface such as this has potential for disaster, but here it works well and is effective in providing a unique and engaging experience.

Click on the Grisbium to get back. Wise words indeed from this glimpse into a weird world inhabited by cat release mechanisms and characters jumping out of the family tree. Lovingly crafted animations blend humour, interaction and sound in a unique way. The only criticism we'd venture would be the slightly confusing preloading system.

A new mesmerising piece from the folk behind Presstube and Pitaru. The images within are unclear as they are so subverted, refracted and distorted that the actual object becomes secondary. Yet the result is a lyrical, edgy musical narrative which keeps your attention long enough to wonder how they did it just before you start wondering why.

Though the fundamental gameplay on offer here may strike you as nothing new, the designer of these games has gone to great lengths to ensure they feel and look as unique as possible. A captivating approach to some traditional game ideas is the site's strength, and each one has its own soft-focus visual charm.

If you use a Mac and you're one of the desktop-tweaking kind, you'll find this stop a useful one for all your enhancement needs. The site unites an eclectic mix of artists whose goal seems to be to push the bounds of the icon where no person has pushed it before. Besides the desktop focus you'll find interviews, reviews and links to icons aplenty.

The thing that has always been impressive about Nico Stumpo's personal site (of which this is the fourth revision) is that he manages to redefine his style each time. Many of the Flash-based ideas you see online these days have been inspired by the earlier works of this Italian designer. Stop by and catch all his work to-date and experience his latest reinvention.

The Pixelsurgeons have been busy contributing to the online world for many months now, and their output continues to expand. They manage to cover all the usual bases but offer interviews in greater depth, with many fresh faces and - god forbid - people who aren't even designers!

This site for a Norwegian illustrator showcases her vivid style to the fullest. A giant slideshow steps you through the varied portfolio of endearing vignettes, with a large amount of other content tucked away deeper within the site. The regularly updated news section is always kept fresh with her latest work and the overall design is clear and direct.
